  3. Network Proactively: Don’t wait until you need something to start networking. Build relationships early so that your contacts will be more willing to help when you need it.  
  4. Ask Open-Ended Questions: Engage in meaningful conversations by asking questions like who, what, where, when, and how. This shows genuine interest and helps you gather valuable information. 
  5. Follow Through on Referrals: Contact referrals promptly and thank the person who referred you. This respect and follow-up reflect well on both you and the referrer.
