1. Practice Makes Perfect
   • Use practice questions to prepare for your interview. Practice with your Advisor, at on-campus events, with a friend, or even in front of a mirror. This preparation will help you focus and confidently talk about your skills and abilities. 
2. Know the Job and the Company
   • Thoroughly read the job description before the interview. Highlight key qualities the company seeks (e.g. strong work ethic, multitasking, high energy, communication skills). Discuss how you possess these qualities and why you’re interested in the company.  Understand their size, culture, reputation, and growth opportunities.  
3. Give Examples
   • When asked about your strengths, provide examples. For instance, instead of saying you have strong communication skills, say, “I have excellent communication skills. As a peer mentor on campus, I facilitated presentations and trained large groups of mentors.”
4. Be Enthusiastic
   • A smile goes a long way. Show enthusiasm to make a positive impression. Employers prefer friendly, positive individuals. Turn nervousness into excitement to demonstrate eagerness for the job.
5. Say Thank You
