Peter Bowen

Peter Bowen is a leader in Bain’s Technology practice, and the head of the Bain Austin Office, having joined the firm in 2001.  

Peter’s primary focus is working with Technology and private equity clients on key strategic issues across topics including AI, automation, cost modernization, and growth strategy. He has past experience in many areas including end-user and enterprise computing, professional and support services, as-a-Service business models, and GenAI led transformation. He has additional past experience across industries such as telecom, financial services, healthcare, and industrial products.  

Outside of Bain, Peter is Vice Chairman of the Board for the national non-profit organization Bottom Line, focused on college access and graduation. He also is the Board Chair of I Am ALS, a patient-centric organization disrupting the ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) space.  

Peter earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Russian History.
