Bottom Line New York Celebrates New Chapter with Office Unveiling and Open House

NEW YORK CITY — Bottom Line New York unveiled a newly redesigned office on Wednesday evening as it prepares to enter its 15th year of providing high-impact, one-on-one college access and success advising to first-generation students across the city. Community partners, supporters, board members, and guests gathered for a ribbon-cutting and open house to celebrate the renovated Brooklyn space. The event featured guided tours led by student interns, student stories, and galvanizing remarks from Bottom Line leaders.
Bottom Line Chief Executive Officer Steve Colón and New York Executive Director Gabrielle Gilliam shared the organization’s bold vision. Gilliam had this to say:
“Bottom Line’s program model has the potential to close the education gap, and in a city as large as ours, there is no lack of need for our services,” said Gilliam. “For nearly 15 years, we have been helping young New Yorkers navigate an increasingly complex journey to and through college and into meaningful careers. We are excited to have this beautifully refreshed space for the 2,000 plus students we serve annually, and we look forward to welcoming even more students for years to come.”
With a student-to-advisor ratio of 80 to 1—a significant improvement over the citywide average of 385 to 1—the organization is positioned to deliver stronger outcomes for students whose talent often exceeds their financial resources.
