Bluprint Programs FAQs
Bluprint is a hybrid advising program designed to support students in college. Explore our frequently asked questions about the program below.
Blu is Bottom Line’s chatbot! It is available to support Bluprint students and answer questions 24/7.
Bluprint serves first-year college students from Greater Boston, Chicago, and New York City who are graduating from a CPS or charter high school, come from low-income households, and/or are the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree. Eligible students must have a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 2.5 (80), be enrolling in a U.S. college in the fall for the first time, and not be attending one of Bottom Line’s Target Colleges.
Students can apply by completing the Bluprint application. If you participated in Bottom Line’s Access program in Boston, Chicago, or New York City, you do not need to submit a separate application – your information will be carried over automatically.
Our team will review your application to determine if you are eligible for the program. All communication regarding next steps will be sent via email so make sure you’re checking your inbox.
Once accepted into the program, you will start getting texts from Blu. Save the number to avoid missing any messages. We will send updates about academics, financial aid, internships, and encouragement. You can also text Blu any questions you have, and Blu or our advisors will reply.
You can ask Blu a variety of questions, including but not limited to the following:
- How do I apply for financial aid?
- How can I find internships related to my field of study?
- How do I schedule an appointment with my Bluprint Advisor?
- Where can I get help with my resume and job applications?
- How can I manage work/study balance as a college student?
- Can you share tips for studying?
Try to keep your questions short and specific to make sure you get the best answer.
Blu will respond to your questions immediately. It is available 24/7!
If Blu can’t help, don’t worry! Your question will be flagged and shared with a Bottom Line Bluprint Advisor who can follow up with you directly.
Text “advisor” to schedule a virtual meeting with a Bluprint Advisor. You can also say “I want to text an advisor” and share your questions or concerns. Our Advisors are available Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm.
