New Board Members Join Bottom Line to Advance Mission in Changing Higher Ed Landscape
BOSTON – Today, Bottom Line announced that new members Erin Cowhig and Jabari Porter will each serve a three-year term on its Board of Directors. During a challenging time in higher education, the advising organization continues to experience impressive growth having launched sites in the Greater Dayton, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan regions in the last two years. Cowhig and Porter seek to lend their expertise and resources to the nonprofit’s mission as it fosters new partnerships in communities eager to enhance support for first-generation students whose talents outweigh their resources.

Erin Cowhig, MILR is the former Chief People Officer of Nimbus Therapeutics, a clinical-stage structure-based drug discovery company, where she served from 2020 to early 2025. Prior to Nimbus, she held senior HR roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2012-2020, including Vice President of Human Resources where she led diversity and inclusion strategy and organizational effectiveness initiatives. She also served as Head of Talent at Agios Pharmaceuticals from 2016-2017. Cowhig holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University.
Jabari Porter is the Head of Investment Grade Fixed Income, CFI Partners. He has over 19 years in the investment grade fixed income markets and joined CFI Partners in 2020. Previously, he served as the Chief Investment Officer for the City of Chicago, managing an $8.8 billion portfolio. His career includes roles at Northern Trust Corporation, Bank of New York Mellon, and Allstate Investments.
